Portraits of my kids together in 2020: March

April 17, 2020

Eliott and Lily: coping with having only each other these days

Some indoor portraits of course but also the very last outdoor shoot we had since the confinement started:

We had two sessions in March: one was our very last walk in the forest before they restricted our possibilities to go there for walks and the other one was when they decided to find songs online and sing together (oh my heart). Eliott playing the guitar of course. There are good and bad days and this was definitely a good one:

And then the forest was also really fun. I miss it!

If you are looking at ways to take pictures at home, try quieter activities and turn around your subject as much as possible. Every angle counts: all around the subject, up, down, close, further back. Try them all, you will be surprised at how much you learn from that and so many pictures will be amazing, I promise!

Oh I actually forgot the shooting I did for the latest seasons of Wildling shoes and some included eating the great tahini and rye cookies from Greens Kitchen Stories:

(Yes, Lily had a pink strand of hair, she did herself with a colouring pen. I blame the quarantine but she is not lacking ideas and imagination!)

I alos have a portrait of my son playing the guitar with the bowl haircut I did on him. Remind me not to do that again!:

I'm going to throw the outtakes for each sessions already. Because there isn't much today other than: I hope you are fine.

And the outtakes for the forest session:

All this seems so far away! I hope we can do it again soon! I bet the April portraits will be also indoors. Or not!

Because we are lucky enough to have some outdoor spaces (terrasses and a courtyard).. Let see where it takes us. Thanks for following along.
