With the little heatwave this week, I thought it was a good idea to share my favourite summer refresher: homemade popsicles with elderflower cordial and pear slices:
If you know me, you know I'm not a big fan of ice cream (nor most deserts actually), I prefer sorbets or even better popsicles. I have already shared simple recipes here and this one is just a variant:
- Elderflower cordial ( you can try lilac cordial too), excellent recipe here
- Water
- pears cut in very thin slices
Mix the cordial with water as you deem fit without sweetening it more. Fill your popsicle moulds with slices of pears (I cut mine with a mandoline). And pour the elderflower mix. Let freeze over night.
And of course, enjoy the millions of outtakes and inspiration for your food styling photography (if that's what you are into, I sometimes used a black dress from my daughter on a cardboard board to do the darker background, only natural light and tons of my props. Plus the pears are from the neighbour's garden!). I can also give you the references to some of the products, like most of the plates I bought here one of my favourite shop in MalmΓΆ. You can shoot me an email here!
