black and white portraits
Eliott and Lily, first portraits of 2019, no need to say more. (except outtakes).
This was a slow start of the year in terms of creativity. In order not to be overwhelmed by my usual lack of ideas during this period, I really took it easy. But I have just acquired a new camera and could not not try new things with it.
I did several sessions with Lily. My poor little one was a little used to try new settings and lenses. You will always see more of my creative musings and craziness on my instagram account. I'll show you some more at the ends of this post!
Basically basic: two flowers for Lily, one book and some window light for Eliott. A 50mm lens instead of the 35mm I used with my old one and off we went. Do you want to know more about how I process my pictures? Let me know in a comment !
I took the flower/floral portraits to illustrate a cool competition currently going on (until 6th of February) to win a photography course at my school as a prize. All information on this instagram post!
However, we shortly decided that the book portraits were not very close to reality as he is a bit reluctant to read these days. So how about a more realistic one?
Simple, but it works, right? I also played with the light with him a little:
And as for Lily, she will always match flowers!
And how cute does she look with short hair? I got used to it and even if I cried a little at first, I like it now. Most of all, the fact that she was so happy made up for the change! Do you want to see something I tried out since she cut her hair? this:
And invite you to check my girl with a candy earring here too that I took for an instagram project.
And how about the old good outtakes of each sessions? I know, you have been waiting for them crazily, so here they are. First my son for once :
And now Lily (if you are still looking, bravo!):
And finally the candle shoot:
See you in February!
