Portraits kids peonies Eliott

Monthly portraits of my kids in 2019 - five

June 12, 2019

peonies kids portraits Lily

It was May and it was Peony seasons just starting so I couldn't not do it again. Remember my peony together portraits from last year? Well, they were for June. I posted them in July (so late too) and talked about creativity and social media drought. I don't understand why, but it seems it happen again this year at more or less the same time.

Weird that at a time of green, sunshine (well, this year I'm not sure) and flowers all over, I seem to have this questioning everything period. But as my daughter says, I have to accept it. Meanwhile, not a very productive post but still, I'm going to throw all the outtakes at once if you dare to have a peak:

I had only what felt like a five minute shot with Lily this month more or less. So I guess it's partly why I feel so uninspired lately. My main muse isn't so enthusiastic right now. A bit but not crazily.

Peonies will definitely be a portraits must for the years to come. Even in low times, Lily will always agree with me on that one! And for once Eliott abided too (his shoot will be further below):

And we it came to Eliott's turn, I found another type of peonies and he totally went for it. My relationship with him is a bit on a rollercoaster at the moment, blame the hormones (probably his and mine too). But sometimes we have a little pocket of peace and truce and that photo shoot was definitely one of them.

I mean you can see many peony portraits out there but not many with boys so I'm always happy when he says yes. Especially at an age when it's not so obvious. Some pics he looks like a proper teen and some he still has some younger look, don't you agree? :

That's it for May (and thank you if you arrived until this point).
