Eliott and Lily in confinement, month two? Yes. But with a pretty clematis background!

Yes, it has been over eight weeks of mostly indoors aside from the odd park walk or stroll around the block. Eliott biked every day to a friend to skate and Lily did the body coach. So when I saw this clematis blooming crazily (you know the one I took one of my first maternity shoot) , I immediately said to the kids: "that's it, I have the April portraits idea"!

Let me tell you that their enthusiasm was very far from mine. Once again, a very small window of opportunity and their faces showed very little longing for the beautiful portraits with softness and blur that I had in mind... Ah well, this is what I got and Eliott's long hair that has now been sort of shaved will long be remembered because of these pictures.

I just love this beautiful background! It's as fleeting as all the flowers I love during spring (Lilac, peonies etc.). And I was lucky to take some individual portraits too so one cannot have it all:

I wish I had used a tool (plastic bag or something else) to make a blurry frame. It would have been great, wouldn't it? Anyways, I'll immediately throw the outtakes:

More single portraits as they felt more like it this time:

Even when she isn't motivated, I can always count on her for giving me some magic. I love that skirt from Numero 74 and what she did with it:

I'm hoping that next time, for the May portraits we can have an outdoor portraits session (Spoiler alert: there will be!). I hope you are all doing well wherever you are, that you are going out of lockdown one way or another. Take care of yourself and yours.
