Brittany, part 3 of our summer holidays was bittersweet. Half amazing with the beach, landscapes and fun. Part very sad with our little kitten getting very sick and not knowing what was happening with him. So these are just the fun bits. You already have had a peek when I did the august portraits, but this time I will also give all the details about the places we went. (Also there was part 1 and part 2, in case you have missed it)
We rented a house in Saint Nicolas des Eaux. Very pretty pitoresque village overhanging a cute river. We loved it all but If I had to do again, I would go more to what is more typically Brittany to me (FinistΓ¨re and itβs beautiful raw beaches). There was a lot to do there though, from Kayaking and canoeing, boat renting, walks to lake gazing.
We were in the middle of Morbihan and there are plenty of places I would recommend. For sure, eating oysters 50 m from where they were fished in Larmor Baden, watching the sunset after a boat ride in the Morbihan Gulf is one of them. I also recommend stopping in the Monk or the Arz island if you can.
I loved stopping in Auray and itβs Saint Goustan port on the way. All the beautiful doors too made me want to revive my #inthemoodforbluedoors tag!
Another thing I would recommend is going to Port Louis, take a boat and do the tour of GΓ’vres which is really beautiful and only takes a couple of hours!
And another place I would recommend if you are inland and not by the sea is the domaine of KerguΓ©hennec which is a castle with contemporary art all over the domain. Really cool!
There are plenty more in the area you could see, Vannes and Lorient are great cities to visit for instance and if you are into biking, the trail along the river we were staying near is beautiful. Donβt hesitate to ask me if you want to go there and need any more tips!
And of course, loads of outtakes:
