Let me introduce you to Alyssia Belloso beautiful ceramics work. And she is as beautiful a person as her work portrays. I met her because I asked her if I could photograph her for a homework I had to give to my Nicéphore course. And I'm so glad I did:

I loved spending the day with her and discovering her story and her art. So much so that I think I took more pictures of her than her ceramics! I took this little movie of some of that time:

Alyssia had a her first encounter with ceramics when she was studying design for a project. And she loved it right away. So when she went traveling the world, this is with ceramics that she managed to visit countries and pay for her travel by offering her hands to ceramicists and selling her work along the way.

She learnt so many different technics in those countries she traveled in and came back full of knowledge and desire to create ceramics for a living. She took everything back with her and made it her own. You can really see the passion and the love when watching Alyssia work.

She also decided to rent a space to sell her creations and offered other creatives to sell their work there too. What a great idea, a creative pop up store! The place is called Nectar and is situated near the flea market in Brussels ( 184 Rue Haute, near Place du Jeu de Balle):

And at the back of the shop, she has a little studio with amazing light where she creates. And she also gives ceramics classes there.

I really love the beauty and variety of her work. We also share love for all the blues :

Alyssia radiates kindness and loves to share her knowledge and story. If you want to take a ceramic class, I would highly recommend her!

This was the result of my homework:

And of course, I have a tone of outtakes to share with you. I hope you liked to see a glimpse of what I loved about her:

I hope you enjoyed it!
