Rusakulan: A must see in the Örebro region.

September 7, 2019

I have been going to Örebro and around for almost 17 years but apparently I have still a lot to discover around that city! One of Pelle's sister mentioned the possibility of going up a hill to a view point called Rusakulan ( Örebro is in a flat region) to have a fika, I got super excited:

And it was all worth it! You have to hike up a little (or more if you don't take your car all the way there), there is first a beautiful little pine forest first and then boom, a magnificent view:

Pines trees of all colours lined up in front of you with a shades of pink and purple heathers. Much further away, the city of Örebro and its flat surrounding fields, floating like a river at the bottom:

I couldn't resist taking portraits of my kids in the heather. The August portraits will show it all but meanwhile, a little sneak peak:

I think Rusakulan is a must see if you are in the region. I really liked the mix of heather and pine tree and the high view point in an otherwise flat region. And then, if you are there in the summer, you can also go to Örebro and enjoy some open art!

Basically, if you are in the area, I highly recommend it. And now ladies and gentlemen, ready for some outtakes?
