Winter mood during our Christmas in Sweden

Looks like a black and white picture, right? Well, it isn't. It's just the mood of that day. If not the mood of the entire stay. There wasn't any snow nor frost. But at least there was beautiful pictures to take.

I never thought I would enjoy a foggy rainy winter day, but I did. And many times over:

New York - Easter 2019

I finally, finally finished a little movie from the footages I had taken in New York last Easter. I was waiting for that to share all the other pictures I hadn't share on the April portraits post. Somehow, I didn't have the confidence to do it so far.

But being on sick leave with a broken foot helps you get rid of that massive procrastination It was the first time I filmed with my new camera at the time and I wasn't as confident as with my old one. But in the end, I'm pretty happy with the result :

So. The Paros photography workshop. Which was so much more than that!Organised by the amazing Flo from the Flo show. I thought I would share it with you right away. We went back to Morvan last Easter just like the one before. I have already shown you the Easter/Egg hunt part here. I thought it would be funny to do a winter post about the region as I did one on Easter/spring, Summer and Autumn. But we didn't go last winter. Or so I thought. In the mood for blue doors

If you have been following me on instagram for a while, you know I have this little obsession for blue doors. I even created a hashtag this summer when I was in Vendée (one of the kingdom of blue doors!): #inthemoodforbluedoors! And I promised that when it would reach 200 entries, I would make a blog post with some blue doors I took. And some of my favourite entries in bonus: So that's Vendée. Where my father has a summer house and where the kids learn how to surf. Full of blue doors and making me want to make my kids pose in front of them all the time (and oups, actually they did):And then I found out that the place where my mum has a summer house, Morvan, also has them aplenty:How fun was it to have something to fall back to when creativity is lacking? I wanted to create a hashtag that was easy to use and would give you something to look for. Yet making you go out with your camera and go for a hunt. Maybe a way for me (and for you) to regain inspiration and an eye open on the world around!Brussels, Paris, London, Sweden... There are blue doors everywhere!And it worked! People have fed my hashtag with their discoveries and creativities. More than 200 posts overall! And I promised to share some of the ones I love the most here. Morvan - our stay in the Autumn

We have been in the Morvan again, visiting my mum's house this autumn. So I thought it was a good idea to show you how it to you in that season too. We were there during Spring (i.e Easter) and Summer. I tried to take pictures of the same places to show you how amazing season changes make it all the more beautiful:I took this very same picture each times, if you care to check the previous posts. In the summer Lily is holding flowers. In Spring, she was running in the field with white wild flowers. It's one of our favourite walks. The views are just amazing! I'm not going to go into details about the region. You can check the previous post. But it's really worth it!I'm hoping to do it every time we go! Will I dare going this winter? Not sure. But we know it's probably so beautiful with the snow. I'm just afraid of the cold! This time, we were blown away by the colours:

Dam sum in Brussels

Dam sum is by far the best dim sum restaurant in Brussels. Those who know me, know that I have this crazy adoration for dim sums. I love them, I crave them. I even went to Beijing for our honey moon more or less to be able to have a feast of them. It was never a thing I could find in Brussels. Some restaurants had it, sometimes better than others but if I really wanted to fulfil my need, I would go to London (I could list my favourite dim sum restaurants there on the blog maybe one day). Then Dam Sum opened, and that my friends, was a life changer!They have really nice bbq buns and classic har gao among other choices. Their shrimp gyozas are amazing. Their overall menu isn't so big but it's fresh, they don't add glutamate and if you are lucky you can even see them making some of the dim sums in front of you. The cherry on the cake is their speciality: the xiao long bao, which is a steamed bun that includes a little soup you suck before eating the ravioli. Simply delicious! Right now they have one with some truffle taste, you have to go try it.Here is a little movie I made, again with my not so great camera, but you get the idea:They don't take reservation, so you have to go a little early or expect some waiting time, but the turn over is ok . AmStramGram: Best kids book store in Brussels

Another blogpost I have been meaning to do for a long time, before Christmas so you would all go and do your shopping there.... is this one on AmStramGram, the best kids bookstore in Brussels! I surely hope that you will go there over the year anyway, it's worth it at any time! I'm writing in English and of course this is mainly a French bookstore but you can find some (not many) books in other languages too (English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish...)Frédérique, the owner, will always give you the best advice and is very helpful. She knows what to buy for all ages, even teenagers and adults:You also find great toys, games and decoration. Frédérique will always have some new cool things, she recently got hold of some kids friendly pop figurines for instance. She has great colorful tastes:In other words, go there!
