Sara Och Söderberg

Söderberg och Sara in Ystad

August 11, 2015

We discovered this really cute and healthy cafe in Ystad a few weeks ago.The first week of our holidays, we rented a house in

Österlen

which is a beautiful part of the south of Sweden region called

Skåne

. We didn't have the best weather and therefore had to find alternative activities to the beach days and bike runs originally planned. Luckily we were there during the

Ystad Jazz festival

and I happen to love jazz!

Kids were happy too but we always need a place for a proper sit down and relax time and of course

Fika

, an important Swedish institution as I mentioned in the post about the

Nordic Bakery

in London.  Searching for something with an organic touch, as difficult as it can be sometimes to find here, we were led to this tiny and lovely café called

Sara och Söderberg

. They are making their own bread and pastries, it's all organic. They have of course Sourdough bread which is the hype here in Sweden. Imagine, this country even has a hotel to keep your dough while you are on holidays.

Not kidding

!

You also have a choice of soups, grilled sandwiches and small meals, I had a portobello burger with halloumi, it was delicious! Their juices are mostly organic. They have the famous hipster brand from Hamburg

Fritz kola

which we were told to find when we were there but never did. We also learnt at our own expense that it has a lot more caffeine than normal but it was too late, we gave it to our children! You can imagine the energy it spread in the following hours (not to mention that it's not super healthy...)

A plus also, even if I'm not a coffee drinker is that they roast their coffee themselves and it's really good according to my favourite swedish coffee drinker.

Sara och Söderberg

I really recommend it if you go to Ystad (and check their website as apparently they also have one in Malmö and  a pizzeria in Löderup)
