Sonian Forest

I have just been featured in the lovely blog of Flora who owns a great online shop to share my tips on what to do in Brussels. It made me look at all the pictures I took of places to see there and I realised that the Sonian Forest in Brussels is Magical throughout the year, magical!

No other words. Any season you go to the Sonian forest, it will just be a fantastic experience. We try to go there as often as possible with my little family as it's not far to where we live. You can even go by public transport. It's huge. Many parts. If you want to discover it all, you should have a map.In Spring, you have also the crazy disneyland bluebell forest, it's in the Halle woods, which is still part of the Sonian Forest:In the summer, it's green and lushy, it's beautifulIn the autumn, you will be in awe with all the shades and the coloursIn the winter, you still can enjoy as it stays rather colourful and the forest smells are still going strongThe Sonian Forest in Brussels makes it the greenest city in Europe. It's enormous. You can see on this map how to get there by public transport or by car. You can walk, cycle and even horse ride. The map will tell you which path can be used for which!More photos of the Sonian Forest in Brussels during each seasons (not all pictures were taken with the same camera nor edited the same way as they are much older ones, but it's worth seeing the variations):I hope this makes you want to go and enjoy this beautiful green treasure!
