One more summer time in Artipelag

December 22, 2019

f you have been following me for some time, you know I have a thing for Artipelag. That little museum place in the Stockholm archipelago definitely has my heart.

We have been visiting every seasons and I think this was my latest post about it? No it was this one! Anyways, back to the summer, the first season we went there. And I made a film about it:

I'm ready to make more videos now! I did lots of video shooting over Christmas, I can't wait to edit it. Let's see when I will show it to you ;)

But I also took some pictures because I usual I want to keep the memories. And our time in Artipelag is always so good.

New York - Easter 2019

December 11, 2019

I finally, finally finished a little movie from the footages I had taken in New York last Easter. I was waiting for that to share all the other pictures I hadn't share on the April portraits post. Somehow, I didn't have the confidence to do it so far.

But being on sick leave with a broken foot helps you get rid of that massive procrastination It was the first time I filmed with my new camera at the time and I wasn't as confident as with my old one. But in the end, I'm pretty happy with the result :

So how do you like my coming back to Videoing? I have one more in store to show you from this summer!

And here is also a picture snippet of our trip from last Easter if you fancy a look too:

Winter in the Morvan (or was it actually Spring?)

April 26, 2018

We went back to Morvan last Easter just like the one before. I have already shown you the Easter/Egg hunt part here. I thought it would be funny to do a winter post about the region as I did one on Easter/spring, Summer and Autumn. But we didn't go last winter. Or so I thought. Because Easter there this year was very much how I imagine it can be in December! Check it out and you will see what I mean:

Summer in Vendée - Our holidays part 1

August 21, 2017

We spent ten days at my father's summer house in Vendée. More precisely in Brétignolles sur mer. I only did a 52 portrait session before there. Oh, and all the picture in my latest Smoke bomb portrait session! In all honesty, I didn't like that region at first. I thought Brittany (above) or Charente Maritime with it's Oléron and Ré islands (below) were much nicer. But it grew on me. And now I see all of its beautiful sides and I want to show you a little bit of what I liked this time around:

If you are in Stockholm, I would advise you to go and see Yayoi Kusama at Moderna Museet! It's only until the 11th of September though. Of course, you have to like psychedelic obsessive art (or lines and  polka dots, like me). I had already seen one of her infinity installation at the Louisiana Museum in Denmark. I also saw a dot installation at the Tate Modern in London before that and really like it all. This exhibition is an amazing retrospective of her work and life. Installations are fantastic as usual but there are also paintings and movies of her provocative actions earlier in her career. Yayoi Kusama is a peculiar artist. I really like her work and the mental influence in her art. It's also a very easy exhibition to go see with kids. Mine really enjoyed it! If you don't have the luxury to go see it or want to be convinced a bit more, click on read more (don't worry, I'm not showing it all):I have a thing for her infinity rooms and her polka dots obsessions:She is there in many forms, films and texts. But for this one, Lily thought it was her for real:She had also many other obsessions in the past, like food and protuberances. She thought she was seeing the world as a massive field of protuberances. She also had a phase with food. In one of her exhibition in New York in the 60s, she filled a room with pasta and people had to walk on it and really disliked it (well, except the Belgian commentator of the movie telling the story. He really though it was cool, sacré belges!):Another advantage of going to that exhibition is that you get to go to Moderna Museet. That means crossing a bridge with really nice surroundings and later see that arty Island called Skeppsholmen where the museum lies:All in all, I just love that museum:Hope you have the chance to see it!

örebro 2015

Open art in Örebro

September 30, 2015

Örebro isn't the place you would think of going to visit if you are spending some time in Sweden. Yet, if you have the luxury and the time, I would really recommend to go during the Open art days there.
