I finally, finally finished a little movie from the footages I had taken in New York last Easter. I was waiting for that to share all the other pictures I hadn't share on the April portraits post. Somehow, I didn't have the confidence to do it so far.
But being on sick leave with a broken foot helps you get rid of that massive procrastination It was the first time I filmed with my new camera at the time and I wasn't as confident as with my old one. But in the end, I'm pretty happy with the result :

So how do you like my coming back to Videoing? I have one more in store to show you from this summer!
And here is also a picture snippet of our trip from last Easter if you fancy a look too:

We had the super chance to stay in Long Island City with that view and it was fantastic (more photos at the bottom of this post!)
I think the first thing in New York we did was to take the kids to Brooklyn.

We were on the hunt for a cool place to have this 50s milkshakes you can see in some movies and that's where we found it. The Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain didn't disappoint:

We walked the Brooklyn bridge of course:

We also went to the highline. The weather was awful, but it's still very nice to go to:

And the color factory was a real hit in Lily's New York experience. You can see more in the movie :

Who doesn't love grand central?

We visited the UN too as our friend works there:

An old New York classic:

Things from Brussels you find in Bryant park:

And spring showed up in Central park:

View from Top of the rock:

I really love the mix between the old and new you can find in New York and the gorgeous magnolias made it all the better:

The tube itself is an experience I have to say. You always feel like you are in a movie!

Another really cool experience is Industry city in Brooklyn, I really recommend it. We went to eat in the Japanese hall, so good!

Oh, and one of the other fun thing was that Eliott had some friends from high school in New York at the same time and we went to meet them by Coney Island (another place I recommend!):

Of course the Guggenheim is a must (as well as the MET, must must !):

Central park is just in front of it, perfect! I also took the kids to buy some cookies in Levain bakery, for me the best cookies ever tested:

Just before my kids left (yes I stayed a bit longer than them), we finally made it to a diner:

And had a last tour on 5th avenue, one of the favourite spot of Eliott (and a pit stop at the Swedish church):

One of the first thing I did when the kids left was to go to another dim sum resto and this one was definitely the best ever, the nom wah tea parlour:

I have so many pictures of that woman on the phone in another café I stopped at, couldn't stop myself:

Now I'm going to leave you with a few more pictures I took either on the highline and on the streets in long island city. If you have any other questions, let me know. I love New York!
